Built and led an entire operation team developing and producing over 40,000 acres in the Eagle Ford, Escondido, and Olmos formations of South Texas. Managed a capital investment program of over $380MM drilling 61 horizontal wells growing net production from ~ 25MMcf/d to ~ 175MMcf/d. Drilled and completed over 125 horizontal wells in the trend, including the two longest horizontal wells in Webb County, Texas. Gross production of 250 MMcf/d at the peak. Led the company in HR, vendor contract management, HSE, ESG, regulatory, insurance, and real estate. Led a company relocation from downtown Houston to Katy, including the design and layout of the new office.

VP of Engineering [2013 to 2014]
Continued in the role of management the operations of the company. Managed the closing of the Midland office and relocation of employees to Houston.

Engineering Manager [2010 to 2013]
Responsible for the daily operations of Escondido resources operations. Direct reports included drilling engineers, engineer tech, field supervisors, and completion foreman. Escondido successfully drilled and completed more than 60 horizontal Eagle Ford, Escondido and Olmos wells in South Texas during that time.

Responsible for all aspects of the oil and gas operations of Escondido Resources: drilling, production, completion, facilities, including the IT management of the company.

Tasks included formation evaluation and well analysis. The horizontal plays of the Permian Basin were one of the areas of focus. As a part of the Solutions Group, looked at optimizing well performance by coupling all available data to make the best decisions.

Assigned several key clients and acted as technical support for the sales group on stimulations as well as other key projects. Designed operations in the various product lines that Schlumberger offers: cement, acid, fracture stimulation, and coil tubing.

DESC Engineer (On-site Technical Sales Engineer) [1999 to 2001]
Responsible for all cement, acid, fracturing, and coil work performed for Texaco in the Permian Basin. Dealt heavily with horizontal completions in the Devonian, Canyon, Simpson Sands, Glorietta, San Andres, and other formations throughout the Permian Basin.

Cell Leader [1998 to 1999]
Responsible for all logistical concerns for the two fracturing crews in Laredo. Responsibilities included dealing with the personal issues of 45 operators, on-site technical support for stimulation, mentored four stimulation field engineers, developed strong technical skills in fracturing, including real-time analysis and DataFRAC analysis.
